A Culture of Repair

A Culture of Repair

Opportunities for creativity are what we live for around here. We all become pretty grumpy when we fall into those creative slumps where life/work start requiring that we just get stuff done. We love and thrive on the periods of design, the moments of problem solving and days spent making something new and unseen. But something that is just as challenging as creation but not nearly as sexy is repair. We often repair out of necessity rather than desire. But these really are incredible moments full of potential. In this vein of thinking we have found these sites and their accompanying manifestos exciting and inspiring. We love the passion, the boldness, and the subversive nature and stance of these guys. The posters speak for themselves so we will resist a needless rehash. They all seem to ask us to dream what a real culture of repair would like when repair is not forced but chosen.
